There is a principle of scriptural learning that says all truth is parallel. What does that mean? Simply put it means that in order to understand a spiritual truth look at the natural example of it in this world. Paul taught us in 1 Corinthians 15:46 a principle of understanding spiritual truth when he said, ", the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. If you examine the teachings and parables of Jesus you will discover that He used many natural examples to illustrate spiritual truths. One of His favorite natural illustrations was that of the seed.

In Luke 8:11-15 Jesus compared speaking the word of God to seeds being sown in various kinds of soil. He was saying that words are being planted. It is the same as when a farmer plants his crops and expects them to grow into the type of crop they are supposed to be. In other words if you plant beans, they start out as tiny little beans, but grow up into fully developed beans. If you plant pumpkins they will grow up to produce fully developed pumpkins, etc. When seeds are planted the planter begins to envision the end result of having a harvest of fully developed beans, pumpkins, wheat, etc. He believes, by faith, that those little entities will produce the crop he desires. This process is actually a type of living by faith.

Hebrews 11:1 -- "Now faith is the assurance of things hope for, the conviction of things not seen."

This same principle is true for creating new people. When a man and woman have sex there is a "seed" that is planted and will produce a new person, but in embryo form that becomes a baby and eventually develops into a full grown adult person. All the characteristics, talents, endowments, looks, etc. of the parents are in the fertilized egg in the woman, but will not be fully seen until that egg grows to maturity. That takes time and the experience of living out the life that was given by the parents to this new person.

This same thing happened when Mary was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit and the egg in her body was supernaturally fertilized by God and that new person that was born was Jesus. This Jesus that Mary bore had all the attributes of His Father who was God.

Peter said in 1 Peter 1:23 -- "for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God." Here again the Apostle Peter refers to words spoken as seeds which had produced a person who was “born again” into the covenant kingdom of God.

John said in 1 John 3:9 -- "No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Here we see the Apostle John stating that the “seed” of the very nature of God is within someone who has been “born again” into the covenant kingdom of God.

Jesus was speaking about faith in Matthew 17:20 and He said to them, "; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. Notice here that Jesus was referring to the size of a mustard seed which is extremely small and comparing it to faith expressed by speaking words to a situation.

There are many illustrations where the principle of encapsulated life is used to illustrate a spiritual truth.

Life is a gift. Jesus said, "I came that you might have life, and might have it abundantly." When life is produced it is instantaneous. It is a finished product in the form of a seed. It has all the characteristics and capabilities it will ever have, but only in minute form. It must grow and “experience” living to fully produce the end result of what was begun in the embryonic form.

Living is an on-going experience. It is the walk, or growth and development, of the being that was begun in that seed of life. In that encapsulated life form were all of the gifts, talents, character, and endowments, etc. of the father and this is the same as our spiritual life that has begun as a new creation in Christ. An encapsulation of life that will grow and develop to take on the image of the Father. The seed that produced the new spiritual life within us was the Holy Spirit that was given to us when we were "born again" into the covenant kingdom. The Holy Spirit came to reside within us and in Him are all the characteristics and attributes of Jesus. If you are born again, you are a new creation in Jesus Christ - you are in union with Him - and have been endowed with His divine nature by the Holy Spirit Who resides within you.

John 15:5 -- "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing."

What a magnificent gift!!!!

God is a faith God and operates the same way He tells us to operate - by faith. Faith sees the end result of something from the beginning. Faith sees the finished product of what we are exercising our faith to produce.

Jesus gave you life and from God’s perspective He gave you a POSITION. That position is what the Bible refers to as being “IN HIM” or “IN CHRIST”. God sees you as the finished product of His faith in action. He does not see you as a sinner, or a failure, or weak, or poor, or sickly, etc. He sees you as though you were Jesus Himself - righteous, an over-comer, strong, valiant, rich, healthy, etc. Your "position" is "in Christ" and that position has come to you because you are in covenant with God through Jesus Christ.

When you were first born into the covenant kingdom and began reading about and hearing about what you could do and be because of being a Christian, did you begin to desire to try some of this faith stuff?

Maybe you prayed for some kind of healing, or maybe a financial miracle, or maybe overcoming some kind of fear, or to find favor with someone, or a myriad of other things you considered something God could do for you. Maybe the results were less than desired. You didn’t receive what you wanted God to do for you and you were disappointed and discouraged. You still went to church meetings, but you started to lose your enthusiasm.

These type of experiences are normal for many new Christians. That is why you find it difficult to find people who actually do the things the Bible says you can do and are what the Bible says you can be. The reason for this tragedy is that the majority of the Christians that leave the kingdom of darkness never get discipled, trained, or equipped in living this new life in covenant with Jesus. They simply get sermons preached at them.

I can tell you how to live like the Bible says we are to live by telling you that we need to grow up spiritually. Now this might sound like a cop-out, but let me explain so you can understand.
